Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Auto Short. By downloading, installing or using the plugin, or by purchasing the subscription, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Auto Short.

1. The service

Auto Short is a plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro that automates the creation of vertical shorts: local audio transcription, AI-assisted cut planning, captions and vertical reframing. The service comprises the plugin software and access to the AI planning service via subscription. Auto Short is developed and operated by José Ramón Ruiz Gil ("we", "us"). Contact: autoshortmail@gmail.com.

2. Purchases and billing

Sales are processed through Polar, acting as merchant of record: it issues the invoice, collects applicable taxes and manages your subscription and license key. By purchasing you also accept Polar's terms. The displayed price may exclude taxes, which are calculated according to your country at checkout.

3. License to use

4. Your content and rights in the source material

Auto Short is an editing tool that processes material you provide. Regarding that material:

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Auto Short to:

We may suspend or revoke access for keys used fraudulently, shared, or in breach of these terms.

6. Indemnification

You will hold us and our providers harmless from any claim, demand, damage, loss or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) the material you provide or the content you publish; (b) your breach of these terms; or (c) your infringement of third-party rights or applicable law. This obligation survives the termination of your subscription.

7. Fair use of the AI

Each license includes up to 200 shorts per month of AI planning. Beyond the limit, the AI service is paused until the next cycle; the rest of the plugin keeps working. The free trial is limited to a small number of shorts per device.

8. AI output and accuracy

Auto Short uses AI models to transcribe audio and plan cuts. These results may contain errors: incorrect transcriptions, misspelled names, imprecise captions or poor cuts. Always review the result before publishing. We do not guarantee accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or any outcome (views, followers, revenue, etc.) derived from the content produced.

9. Cancellation and refunds

10. Requirements, compatibility and third-party trademarks

Auto Short requires Adobe Premiere Pro on Windows and an internet connection for AI planning. Adobe and Premiere Pro are trademarks of Adobe Inc.; Auto Short is an independent product not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe. Other trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners and are cited for identification purposes only.

11. Availability and no warranties

We provide the service "as is" and "as available", using reasonable efforts to keep it operational. If the AI service is unavailable, the plugin produces the short with a local fallback plan. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (including lost profits, loss of data or opportunities). Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, nor any consumer rights granted to you by mandatory law.

13. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated by email to active customers with reasonable notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts; where you act as a consumer, the mandatory venues and protections granted to you by law will prevail.
